Northwest Louisiana Long-Range Transportation Plan Update

The Northwest Louisiana Council of Governments (NLCOG) has kicked off the five-year update for the Metropolitan Transportation Plan for Bossier, Caddo, DeSoto and Webster Parishes.

Moving Forward 2050 is Northwest Louisiana's long-range strategic plan that looks at how to improve all modes of transportation. It identifies goals, strategies and projects over the next 25 years and is required to be updated for the region to receive federal transportation dollars.

In the first phase of the planning process, NLCOG is gathering public input on areas for improvement, goals for the future and funding priorities through an online survey and at local events in February and March.

During the initial listening and learning phase, residents have the opportunity to weigh in on their priorities for their home parish and community.

Please fill out the survey, share the link on your social media and encourage your colleagues, family and friends to complete the survey.
